Minimum Requirements:

• 5+ years working in a financial aid office
• Expertise in the financial aid application process

• Excellent speaking skills

The consultants at Financial Aid Solutions are independent contractors rather than employees. That way, the income that they earn by consulting is considered self-employment income, and they receive all of the tax write-offs and benefits associated with owning their own business. They receive a 1099 tax form at the end of the calendar year showing the amount that they have been paid from Financial Aid Solutions, and they write their business expenses off against this income. Some examples of common write-offs include internet access, cellphone bills, computer depreciation and software.
